It all started out of a desire to entertain and make people dance, as time moved on I learned the skills to mix music in sequence (beat mixing) and found that by taking parts of one song and throwing it in the mix with another I could drive the crowd into a frenzy and fill the dancefloor, its this skill to know when and how to mix music right, in tempo and drop breaks and vocals into the right places has gained me the reputation as one of the best DJ's in town, so why not find out yourself.......
The first thing many people ask by email or phone is the dreaded words "How much is a Disco" these words strike fear into the average DJ as its like saying how long is a piece of string, any DJ who is a one price shot is either selling themselves short, or is a cowboy!! there is no definitive answer, without knowing the venue, start and end times, type of event, number of lights, speakers, radio mics......are you getting the picture here, the DJ who just rattles a price off over email or phone is either a cowboy or in my experience generally an idiot!! DO YOU WANT A COWBOY OR IDIOT AT YOUR EVENT!! oh did I shout those words, I feel I have to, to make myself clear, their really is no fixed price to hiring a DJ and anyone who is just throwing a figure at you really isn't doing their job properly, its like having a tea party and guessing the amount of food, you can't do it.
Now from personal experience, and I do mean this sincerely Mobile DJ's get a bit of a bad rap overall, and the general view of the public is "well anyone can play music" CAN THEY!! alrighty then... recently I was attending a wedding, a reasonably pricey affair, but they made the mistake so many people do, oh yes the cake was lovely, the tables all decorated fantastically, and the food superb, then in the corner was Sixty Quid Sid, quite a nice fellow if you like your venue to look like the Gary Glitter roadshow, this fellow DJ went on to Maressa the entire evening with his shrill sounding Chinese speakers, and fairground flashing light show, the Bride at this event had booked on price, not quality, and on top of that had done no research to what she was getting, would you go into a shop buy half a dozen things pay the lowest price you could then expect top quality goods when you got home??? No neither would I but thats whats happening every week in this town and many others across the UK, Sixty Quid Sids are everywhere, SO Beware.....

As a guide price, and I mean this as a guide only, a professional DJ for a Wedding will on average charge anything from £300 plus, and in general that's the starting prices, what have you been quoted today, is it very low, ask yourself why, the chances are your dealing with a chancer, with no Public Liability Insurance and tatty equipment which sounds shrill and horrid, now I could name at least four guys in Bognor Regis who fit this bill exactly, but I won't, at the end of the day its the choice of the client to whom they book, all im saying is we will offer you the very best, if that's what you want....
If you only want the very cheapest, then obviously I can't stop you, but this is very much a game of your get exactly what you pay for......
